Krystina McNeil (B.A., CPM, LM) is the Founder and Director of Newlife International School of Midwifery. She and her husband, Matthew, have lived and served as missionaries in the Philippines for 25 years where they oversee a team numbering approximately 80 people.
Krystina holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Foreign Languages and Education from Lewis and Clark College and an Associate of Science Degree in Midwifery from the National College of Midwifery.
Matthew is an ordained minister and serves as the administrator of Newlife Int'l School of Midwifery. He has also trained several thousand Filipino pastors how to plant new churches. Matthew is also the founder of Project Challenge Foundation and Newlife Int'l Development Partnership mission organization. Krystina and Matthew are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Josie and Jessica.
For 20+ years the McNeils have managed a charity maternity clinic serving impoverished families. Krystina was a midwife volunteer at two large birthing clinics located in Manila where the McNeils used to live. She also has an extensive background in Primary Health Care and she pioneered a comprehensive PHC training program for Bible school students, and she supervised many PHC clinics in squatter areas. In addition, she established a church-based prenatal clinic in Manila for impoverished women.
Krystina is a licensed midwife and a highly gifted instructor. She and her staff have trained more than 200 midwife students in addition to dozens of short term interns. Some of these graduated students are now serving as midwives in other developing countries. Some licensed graduates have even returned to to the Philippines to help train new students. In addition, Krystina has trained several Filipino midwives who also serve on staff positions. Over the course of these past many years Krystina, her staff and the students who have come to our facility for training have delivered more than 25,000 babies.
Pictured to the right are 22 certified midwives, nurses, supervisors and instructors presently serving in full time staff positions. These midwives come from the Philippines, United States and Canada.
Supervisor Preceptor Staff
Pictured to the left are our current midwifery preceptors. Our internationally trained preceptors provide a wealth of experience that cannot be matched at any other training site. Our supervisors serve as academic and clinical educators. The majority of Newlife’s preceptors have served in this capacity for over 15 years, bringing with them unmatched skills and experience.
