This program is designed to assist students desiring to enroll in a U.S. MEAC accredited school. Newlife clinical supervisors will serve as preceptors providing oversight for all clinical work and didactic education. Newlife will facilitate and assist students through the application process. Upon graduation students will qualify for the U.S. NARM Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) certification. This program is designed for students who desire to serve women on the mission field. Students will begin studying midwifery from the basics and continue through more in depth and complicated aspects of midwifery care. This is intended for students who do not desire to obtain a U.S. degree or certificate. These students will be qualified Certified International Midwives and will receive a graduation diploma and certificate from Newlife. This is a short (6-12 months) intensive midwifery training course designed for medical care professionals and/or missionaries who desire to add midwifery care to their skill set. The training will focus heavily on clinical skills and will also include basic midwifery didactic education. Students can choose the 6month or 12month training option. The initial 2-3 months of the program will focus on observation and assisting. While 6 months of training will equip you with valuable midwifery skills, those who want more extensive training, should choose the 12 month option.
