We realize that missionary midwives are often called upon to serve in remote communities that go beyond merely providing healthcare. Their advice is typically sought in areas beyond their education which is a primary reason why we offer specialized training to help ‘round out’ our student's experience with additional skills that better empower them to serve as missionaries in other countries.
We have partnered with an organization started by a missionary in 1971 known as Rural Life Center (RLC) that incorporates a Christian approach to rural community development focusing on practical farming technologies.

As time allows (based on student's availability regarding their clinincal schedules) we try to provide opportunities for our students to participate in specialized rural community development modular education and sent to remote communities/villages for practical hands-on training that covers multiple topics such as;
- Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT 1)
- Simple Agro-Livestock Technology (SALT 2)
- Sustainable Agroforest Land Technology (SALT 3)
- Small Agrofruit Livelihood Technology (SALT 4)
- Food Always In The Home (‘FAITH’ gardening)
Additional modules include; Raising Goats, Ducks, Rabbits, Chickens and Breeder Hogs. Other courses will cover Building Fish Ponds, Biogas feeder construction, Feed formulation, Water filtration and Growing coffee. We also partner with a provincial doctor who teaches primary healthcare.
Notation: These specialized training opportunities are not necessarily available for all students. Some students find it difficult to particpate in these modules due to their busy clinical schedules and academic obligations. Students can discuss this with the school director after arrival in Davao, or they might consider an extended stay after their graduation in order to be fully engaged in these training courses.

We also offer additional modules for interested students such as;
- Chronological storytelling - Gospel sharing
- Theological Education by Extension - Church Planting
- How to start a new clinic - 'Clinic-in-a-Box'

Preparing midwives to serve anywhere in the world.
