Corrective Action continued
If a corrective situation arises, a student may be subject to any of the following corrective actions as deemed appropriate by the school director.
1. A meeting with the director to determine the specific problem. The situation may be resolved through counsel and/or appropriate corrective action. A student may be given the opportunity to enter into an informal Corrective Agreement. This agreement identifies the unacceptable behavior, prescribes obligations on the part of the student, and includes specific consequences if the agreement is not kept.
2. A student may be placed on Corrective Probation involving a period of examination and evaluation to determine a student's status and whether she will be permitted to continue as a student. The length of Corrective Probation may vary.
3. If the situation requires, the student may be Suspended and will no longer be able to continue as a student in the school. When suspension is imposed, an appeal for reinstatement may be made, in writing, to the school director. However the student's pastor should be involved in any such dialog. A suspended student will receive a School Initiated Dismissal or Voluntary Dismissal on her transcript reflecting their academic standing at the time of suspension. A student may be granted appropriate credit for courses that were successfully completed prior to the suspension. A School Initiated Dismissal may jeopardize a student's standing concerning their dual enrollment with the National College of Midwifery.
