National College of Midwifery (NCM) Administrative Fee

PLEASE LET THE APPLICANT UNDERSTAND:

Newlife students are dual-enrolled in the National College of Midwifery (NCM) as we state throughout this site. Newly enrolled students are therefore required to pay a one-time NCM administrative fee of $3100; payable and limited to the first semester ONLY.

New students will pay Newlife's tuition fee plus the NCM admin fee for the first semester;

CLARIFICATION: NO additional dual-enrollment or admin fee payments are required by the National College of Midwifery. Subsequent semester billings will be limited to Newlife's tuition rate as published at top of page.

The National College of Midwifery fee payment must be coursed through Newlife School of Midwifery. All payments will be forwarded to the National College on behalf of each student for credit to her account. Each new student will be billed full payment upon enrollment that will include Newlife tuition plus National College fees.

IMPORTANT NOTATIONS (Please read VERY carefully)

  1. First semester students are instructed to make full payment INCLUSIVE of Newlife tuition plus the National College administration fee. Full payment must be payable to Newlife School of Midwifery.
  2. Tuition and Fees are subject to change without prior notice. Students should expect a minimal tuition rate increase each year. Average adjustment is 5% although Newlife School reserves the right to increase fees as necessary in order to maintain the appropriate funding requirements of our clinical facility.
  3. Newlife School offers a 5% discount for accounts prepaid in full (at least two semesters). Discount not applicable for students availing of Newlife School awarded loans or recipients of the Church Matching Grant.
  4. The 5% discount is NOT applicable to the National College of Midwifery fees
  5. The additional semester tuition rate required for married students is 50% of the standard tuition fee. Please see 'Family' link for more information.
  6. Tuition and School Fees are payable in US Funds only.
  7. $500 deposit is not inclusive of the tuition fees.
  8. Newlife School limits the timeframe that a student might become inactive for whatever reason (yet remain enrolled) to a period of time not to exceed 12 months.
  9. There is an 'inactive' fee of $50/month for students who remain enrolled in Newlife School.
  10. NARM fees are entirely separate from Newlife School fees and tuition.
  11. Tuition payments are not tax deductible according to the IRS Tax Code due to the designation of funds to specific student accounts by the payee. Please see IRS Publication 526 for more info.
  12. Our Financial Aid program is not considered a Qualified Tuiton program and students do not participate in a Federally funded financial aid program administered by the US Dept. of Education, nor are we accredited by the same. Therefore, we are not obligated to issue a Form 1098T as guided by IRS Publication 970.
  13. Newlife School's Financial Aid program is not applicable to students seeking the Bachelors Degree
  14. Plane tickets range in price from $700 - $1500 RT depending on point of origin and dates of travel.
  15. Students are required to apply for a 9g missionary visa upon arrival from Philippine Dept. of Immigration. Fees are not consistent due to multiple variables. Approximate cost is $800 for a two year visa.*

Length of Programs

Associate Degree of Midwifery

The Associates Degree program is designed for those interested in studying midwifery with the purpose of receiving a MEAC accredited degree. Students completing this program will qualify to take the NARM exam and receive the CPM certification.

Please Note: It is entirely the student's responsibility to check with their state/province in order to meet the specific requirements mandated by the respective state/province they plan to seek licensing and certification.

Upon graduation and successful completion of the NARM exam, students will be awarded an Associates Degree of Midwifery and qualify for CPM certification. The associates program generally involves 2 academic years (4 semesters) - 5 semesters for married students.

Note: There is a 12 month time limit for inactive students. This pertains to students who temporarily remove themselves from active enrollment for varying reasons.

 

Bachelors Degree of Midwifery

The Bachelors Degree program is designed for students wishing to pursue further midwifery education. Upon completion of the Associates program, students may desire to stay and study for additional time and receive a Bachelors Degree.

The Bachelors program generally involves 1 academic year beyond the Associates Degree. Completion of the Associates of Midwifery program is a prerequisite.

Newlife School's Financial Aid program is not applicable to the Bachelors Degree program.

There are certain time limits to complete this program.
